An injury side-lined her career and she decided to pursue her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Mercy College. Christine has over 20 years of experience in treating chronic pain and orthopedic injuries. Christine has completed extensive training during her career in manual therapy techniques including a trigger point therapy certification, craniosacral and visceral therapy, joint and soft tissue mobilization techniques, and functional movement training. Christine’s interest in holistic medicine led her to pursue training in Yoga Tune Up®, Prana Yoga, and Pilates. She also received training through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Certified Health Coach. Her love of golf led her to become certified as a TPI Golf Medical & Fitness Professional.

Christine’s Treatment Philosophy

Christine’s treatment philosophy is strongly influenced by her own experience as a patient searching for a solution to her injury and chronic pain following an accident that ended her equestrian career. After an injury to her knee and ankle, Christine pursued her education in physical therapy with the goal of finding a way to treat her own chronic pain. During a five year search through the healthcare system, with little relief, Christine explored treatments ranging from osteopaths, chiropractors, physical therapists, pain management specialists, to orthopedic surgeons. Christine finally found an orthopedic ankle specialist who performed a successful surgery that started her on a path to recovery.

This experience has given Christine a high level of empathy and understanding of the emotional, psychological, as well as secondary physical effects of chronic pain following an injury. Christine uses her own experience as a patient, her clinical experience in physical therapy, and her education in complementary treatments like yoga, dance, and pilates to help patients find their own path to health and wellness.
